ABH: Short for Alien Bounty Hunter which is a nickname for the Pilot.

Black Oil:This is the alien life-force.

CDC: Short for Centers for Disease Control.

Chip: A small device which is implanted into alien abductees. When removed, they contract an incurable cancer. When kept in, they will either be infected with Purity or burned by the faceless aliens.

CIA: Short for Central Intelligence Agency.

Colonist: A Gray alien.

Colonization: The Grays plan to Colonize Earth. They do this through use of Purity.

Consortium: A shady group of men who control the events surrounding the Colonization. The correct title, or at least the preferred one, is the Syndicate. Another title is the Conspiracy.

Fence-Sitter: Someone who really doesn`t care which direction Mulder and Scully`s romance goes in.

Gimlet: The weapon that the Pilot uses to kill clones. Also called the Icepick or Stiletto.

Mighty Morphin` Bounty Hunter: Nickname for the Pilot.

Moose & Squirrel: Nickname for Mulder and Scully.

MOTW: Short for Monster-Of-The-Week. There are three classifications of X-Files episodes: Monster-Of-The-Week, Mytharc, and X-Files Lite. MOTWs are any episodes which are not supposed to be humorous or a "gimmick" episode and deal with human enigmas, mutants, monsters, psychics, and the like.

Mr. X: Nickname for X.

M&S: Short for Mulder and Scully.

MUFON: Short for Mutual UFO Network.

Mulder-lite: Episode with a minor part of Mulder

Mytharc: There are three classifications of X-Files episodes: Monster-Of-The-Week, Mytharc, and X-Files Lite. Mytharcs are the episodes that evolve and develop the `backstory` of the show, the ongoing storyline (alien / conspiracy plot), referred to as the mythology. Mytharcs are mythology episodes.

Shipper: Short for Relationshipper. Someone who wants Mulder and Scully to be together in their apartments doing the horizontal mambo. Or at least get together romantically. The opposite is a NoRomo, the half-opposite is a Fence-Sitter.

Spooky: Nickname for Mulder (from the Academy).

Squizze: Nickname for Scully (from the LGM or the fans)

Starbuck: Nickname for Scully (from her father).

Stiletto: The weapon that the Pilot uses to kill clones. Also called the Gimlet or Icepick.

X-Files Lite: There are three classifications of X-Files episodes: Monster-Of-The-Week, Mytharc, and X-Files Lite. X-Files Lite episodes are those episodes which are comedies (Small Potatoes, Bad Blood, How The Ghosts Stole Christmas) or those which are "gimmick" episodes (The Post-Modern Prometheus, Triangle).
